What a fun day!

We had the best day yesterday...a very FULL day. Beau was invited to his friend, Reed's, birthday party. There was facepainting, all kinds of games, t-shirt decorating, cupcakes & hotdogs, and Beau's favorite...

...a jumparound! I couldn't count how many times he jumped around and slid down that slide!
After the party, I went to the Cooper volleyball game (see post below...) and Beau stayed home and cheered on those Red Raiders with his Daddy! Go Tech!

Then we all went for a ride up to "the park" (Austin Elementary) and to our surprise, they were having their Fall Festival.
Beau got to jump in those jumparounds, too! We went on a hayride, and played some games.

Beau got to learn how to do some tae kwan do kicks. The young man in the picture was a really good teacher and boy, could he kick!
When the sun started to set, we headed home again happy as can be!

Former Jefferson Coyotes!

This is the Cooper volleyball team (of which I am a former former former member!)
I coached some of these girls at Jefferson...

...these 2 in particular (and one sitting on the bench).
The last girls that I coached are now Seniors, which is not what makes me feel old.
Realizing that the first group of girls I coached are now college graduates...now that makes me feel old!
I LOVED coaching, but I wouldn't trade it for the world for what I'm doing now!

Big Performance!!

This is the "Angel Choir" (3 year olds) at Pioneer Drive Baptist Church! They sang a rousing rendition of Jesus Loves Me with sign language and everything!! All the Mommies were so proud! Dads, too!
Beau was so excited his Mimi got to hear him sing.
Beau and Ethan are real buddies. They thought it was pretty cool that they wore the same shirts. Jennifer and I are similar shoppers and she probably bought his shirt LAST year 75% off!!! Don't they look like they're on Freshman Council at Baylor with their green and white striped rugby shirts?? They just need khaki pants! Anyway, it was a fun night to watch our children sing so inocently!
Time to go to Mission Friends...

Pumpkin Patch

I think Beau looks so big in this picture with his boots on! We took him to the pumpkin patch Monday evening and then his MDO class went today.
This is Beau's MDO class.

Beau was most excited about the big red tractor that pulled their hayride!

More pictures from this weekend in Lubbock.

Beau made a friend at the pool, but didn't want her playing with HIS football!

Saturday morning before the game. Tech quarterback Graham Harrell.

Half-time nap! He can sleep through anything!

What a Weekend!

We had the best weekend in Lubbock for Texas Tech's Homecoming. Kevin's parents came to Abilene Thursday and we headed to "The Promised Land" on Friday. We couldn't get there soon enough and Beau knew he would get to go swimming! He's getting so good in his little "all in one" float suit, he just went by himself as we watched from the side!
Beau especially loves hotels because of the breakfasts and this is the only place he is allowed to jump on the bed (although I know he gets away with it at either of his Grandparents' homes!).
We had the best luck with hotels. We found out the the Tech football team was staying in our hotel and this picture is of them running through plays in the atrium Saturday morning before the game. Beau talked with Graham Harral (the quarterback) at breakfast that morning, too! It's really amazing how big these guys really are (alot bigger than they look from the stands or on TV). We stayed in suite 300 and Coach Leach was in suite 301. That's another funny story, because several years ago when we went on a cruise, Coach Leach and his wife were on the same cruise. He may think we're stalkers! :)
There is nothing better than a big pre-game hotdog.
This is my attempt at being a good Texas Tech wife. I am in the "All But One" club as is Kevin. Actually, our whole families are. Kevin, his parents and brother attended Tech...my parents, sisters, 1 brother in law, my niece (current BU freshman) and I all attend(ed) Baylor!
Anyway, a good time was had by all. And, of course, Tech won.
(Baylor won their game, too FYI!!!)
