For the Grandparents...

This is the Sonshine Choir leading in worship last night in "Big Church". Beau's allergies were bothering him (again), but he was a trooper and sang his little heart out!

Duck, Duck, Goose!

Beau and I were a little bit early to his doctor's appointment, so we drove through the HSU campus and had to literally stop for this momma duck and her babies to cross the road.

After Beau's appointment (and his THIRD allergy RX), we decided to go back and see if we could find those little ducks. They were in the HSU pond and we could have stayed for hours just watching and following them around. It was a fun and impromptu afternoon!

Last Saturday was Beau's last game for the season and they celebrated at Mr. Gattis. We have loved this league and making new friends. All of these boys but one will go to Austin Elementary. It's been a fun little team that we hope to be a part of for a long time!

This picture has nothing to do with soccer or ducks! It's just a picture I took last Saturday at a track meet that my dad and Kevin were working. I thought it was so pretty!

Home for the Summer.

Beau was doing his usual watering of the plants and garden...

...when all of the sudden, he found TEX!

Go here to read the story about our beloved, Tex the Turtle.

Easter Weekend

We always have a great time in Houston. Pops bought Beau some golf clubs and he practiced in the front yard with Uncle Kirk and Kevin for a long time. He's getting the hang of it and might be a pretty good little golfer! He takes it very seriously.

I love this picture. It's Easter morning in the courtyard of South Main Baptist Church in Houston. We had a wonderful early service, bruch at Le Madeline's and then...

...Beau and I headed to the bus station for our little adventure to San Antonio. We had the best time. Beau watched movies with his new headphones (he especially liked that he could control the volume. See his right hand?) Mom, Lori, Bailey, and Audrey picked us up at the SA bus station and we headed to...

...the Alamodome for the Women's Final Four games. Our teams (OU and Baylor) did not win, but we had the best time!

I've always known that I am fortunate to have such awesome in-laws (mainly because they raised Kevin to be who he is today and they are incredible grandparents to Beau). They changed our Sunday plans to accomodate me so that I could take their only grandchild on a bus to San Antonio for a basketball game on Easter Sunday??? Not only were they "OK" with it, they were excited about our little adventure, and Lyn helped me plan our trip! We love you, Honey and Pops...very much!

Sidekicks Season Opener

Saturday was really busy, but really FUN! Beau scored 2 goals in his last basketball game. He really enjoyed playing each week with Carter and making new friends from Jim Ned.Good thing we had an early game, because Saturday was also our first soccer game. We were so excited to be placed on the Sidekicks team. One of Beau's best buddies is his teammate, Daniel. It didn't take long for Beau to pick up where he left off last year. He LOVES soccer (he even slept in his uniform the first night he got it, he was so excited!)

This is a shot of Beau during the game on a sideline kick-in. He looks serious, doesn't he?

It's hard to see, but this is one of Beau's 2 goals that he scored. The sweetest thing is that he gets JUST as excited when one of his teammates scores, too. After each score, he looks over and gives us a thumbs-up!

A good action shot!
